Drop in the Bucket
A "drop in the bucket" means something that is very small or unimportant or an action that is having very little effect or consequence.

The Bible gives us this phrase in Isaiah 40:15. "Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing."

Use Example - While the team appreciated the addition of one new member, it was a drop in the bucket compared to the number of people needed to complete the project on time.
