Down for the Count
To be down for the count means to be defeated, beaten or nearly so.

"Down for the count" originates in boxing and refers to a boxer having been knocked down and unable to get back to his feet before the referee has counted to ten, thus losing the match.

Use Example - "Wow" Mark said. " I don't remember ever being this sick before. I was really down for the count."
