Funny Money
"Funny Money" means paper bills of a type other than circulated currency. Current use of the phrase can refer to counterfeit or foreign money.

The phrase "Funny Money" was coined during the United States / Vietnam War. In an effort to combat illegal and subversive black market activity on and around U.S. Military Bases, the U.S. Military issued military script in lieu of U.S. Currency to soldiers.

Use Example - That Funny Money sure is hard to use in town! Wish we had some real greenbacks.
